Tattoo Records are Meant to be Broken Heart

December 2007 Kat Von D set the record for most tattoos given in a 24 hour period. Her goal was to do 400 tattoos. All the money went to Vitamin Angels, one of Kat’s favorite charities that help save children from going blind. Kat Von D’s design was a LA logo she designed to pay homage to the city of Los Angles. In fact, LA Ink even televised her effort to make Guinness Book history.

Hollis secured sponsorship from Superior Tattoo Supplies, put the word out, and on Sunday, November 16 a new record was set at 801. Hollis even stopped 25 minutes early. His design was an AZ logo he knew would appeal to his regular customers. Once again the proceeds went to local charities.

Free Head Tattoo = Suck

Free Head Tattoo = Suck
What is the deal with this tattoo idea? Who did this tattoo design and why did no one talk him out of this? That skull tattoo on the back of his head is just an ugly tattoo gone bad. Notice how out of center that thing is? Maybe this tattoo artist is just a visionary and his abilities are so amazing that we can not fully grasp the awesomeness of this tattoo? Or maybe I am just being sarcastic and really think that this tattoo sucks balls! I would be willing to bet the farm that this man has “Tattoo Regret” from time to time and may wear a hat allot after children laugh and point and the green brains and 3rd grader’s drawing of a skull. I vote that this tattoo win an award of some kind! Who is with me?

Technologi Laser Etching a Geeky “Tattoo”

Technologi Laser Etching a Geeky “Tattoo”

Sometimes you need to make the mark of the geek on your body and you just don’t want to make the trip down to the tattoo parlor. You look over and notice the laser engraver sitting in the corner (c’mon guys, we’ve all got one, am I right?) and the gears in your head start turning. Next thing you know your arm is in the chamber of the laser engraver and you’re gritting your teeth in anticipation as your finger hovers over the “Start” button. You take a deep breath and push the button. As the nerves scream and the smell of burning flesh drift out of the box you wonder if the Bene Gesserit are testing you. I can only imagine what else was going through Instructables user Tetranitrate’s head as he sat for this process a couple times.

When it was all said and done, he had a Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Instructables logo marked on his skin, not to mention a handful of Wingdings tattoos on his fingers.

Hey, wait a minute, aren’t lasers for removing tattoos?!
